Who we are
Storybible is operated by 10951811 Canada Inc. This notice explains how the app handles information when you read or create personal fiction.
Information we use
We store your account identifier and sign-in email; your adult-eligibility confirmation and AI-sharing choice; your story requests, chat messages, manuscript attachments, characters, books and images; reading progress; and purchase and allowance records. Bookmarks, highlights and reading notes are saved on your device. Our services also produce operational records such as request times, errors and generation usage to run the app, protect accounts and investigate failures. If you contact support, we keep the information you provide to address your request. Apple processes payments; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
AI services and your choice
With your permission, we send your requests and relevant story content to OpenAI to create and maintain stories, reply in chat and generate or assess illustrations. Inputs may include messages, manuscript attachments, character details, previous chapters and reference images. OpenAI also checks chat messages for safety. You can refuse and continue reading saved books, or withdraw permission in Your account → Privacy & AI. Withdrawal stops future AI requests and may stop unfinished work; it cannot recall information already sent and does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Service providers
Supabase supplies account authentication, database and private file storage. Google Cloud runs our application services and task processing. OpenAI supplies AI generation and moderation. Apple supplies sign-in when you choose it and purchase processing. Information may be processed outside Quebec or Canada, including in the United States. Your private stories are not a public feed. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers.
Provider retention
OpenAI’s published API policy says inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default. Its safety logs may retain content for up to 30 days, with exceptions for legal obligations and preventing harm; caching and image-safety rules also apply. Turning off response storage does not guarantee zero retention. See OpenAI’s data controls for details.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep account content to provide your library and continuing stories until you delete the account. Use Your account → Delete account to request deletion. Processing removes your hosted account, story records and private files, and clears account data on the device making the request. A minimal deletion receipt and limited purchase identifiers, product and date records remain to prevent replaying old purchases; those purchase records no longer include your account or email. Backups, provider security records and copies on other offline devices are not immediately erased by that action. Service-provider backup schedules and legally required retention may still apply. Standard application logs in our Google Cloud log bucket are retained for 30 days.
Access and questions
Contact us to request access or correction, ask about retention, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify that you control the account before responding to an account-specific request. Storybible is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We will update this notice when our practices change.
